Dad’s Living Room Makeover

I’m back at my dad’s house! If you remember, back around Thanksgiving in 2024, my sister and I gave my dad’s dining room a makeover. We lost our mom to early onset Alzheimers a few years back. My dad recently got remarried to Gege and we absolutely adore her. My sister and I want to help make their home feel like theirs. So, we’re working on the living room!

If you need a refresher, here’s the dining room transformation we did. We are so excited to get started on the living room!

Here’s what the living room looked like before we got started!

To start, we repainted the wall and trim in here. The wall color is Shoji White and the trim is Viaduct, both by Sherwin Williams!

We pressed paused on this for a few months to find the right furniture for this space. Once we found all the perfect furniture from Pottery Barn, my sister came into town and we rallied to get this living room put together!

As we started hanging the curtains, Kels said she wished the ceiling was the same color as the trim…👀💀😂

So, we took an intermission and painted the ceiling Viaduct by Sherwin Williams to match the trim! I’m so glad we did. It really pulled the room together.

With all the furniture in here…it was looking so good!
