Last week, I left off painting this room. It looks incredible! Next up for Rainie’s Room Makeover, I rolled out the rug and put the bed together!
I got this rug and wasn’t sure if I’d ever be able to use it in our house. But I showed it to Rainie and she loved it! I rolled this out and I love the way it works with the color on the walls.
Then, I put together her bed. It’s from The Inside and has a slipcover that goes over it – so you can swap it out over time. The cover was a little wrinkly so I had to steam it and smooth it out. But assembly was super easy.
I love mixing masculine/feminine or modern/traditional when designing my rooms. This light reflects that! I had it up in the guest room before and decided to put it back up because I think it will work really well with her new decor.
I got these shelves from Wayfair for storage. Rainie has a lot of fun little knick knacks she can put here. I found these CB2 look alikes that are super cheap. The CB2 ones are $350 a piece and these were only $70!
I still needed to do some shopping for a lamp, side table, and trays/baskets. So, I went to Homesense and our local thrift store for all of that!
These brass switch plates are all over our house so I put them in here as well!
There were some really cute art frames in my decor closet already. I put some new art in and hung it on the picture railing on either side of the closet. I did a tutorial on how to hang pictures using picture railing here!
Up until this point, Rainie hadn’t seen ANY of the room. She wanted the whole thing to be a surprise. I literally cannot wait to show her!
