Kitchen Hallway Makeover – Wallpaper

The kitchen hallway makeover is coming along! After finishing up trim and paint, it’s time for wallpaper!

This was actually my first time using peel & stick wallpaper. This one from Lowe’s was much better quality than I expected and I couldn’t wait to put it up.

Materials

I drew a level line about a foot out from one of the wall corners. You never want to start wallpaper in a corner because no wall is perfect and the rest of your room will end up crooked! So, I made my level line and started there and cut the excess off.

As I was working, this happened….and it killed me. I was laughing so hard 😂

Anyway, moving on!

I had a little gap left over and needed to figure out a way fit a piece. It wasn’t going to be perfect, but I cut a little piece and installed it. I thought it was perfect, but one of you pointed out that I totally messed up the pattern…haha! I wonder how long it would have taken me to notice it if you guys didn’t tell me.

Nonetheless, wallpaper is DONE! It looks so so good. Next up, storage!

Here’s everything I wore working on this project:
