All About My Flexia Reformer

If you’ve been following along on my stories, you know I just completely renovated part of my basement and turned it into a home gym. You can see the whole thing here! My favorite part of this space is this little 8×3 area where my Flexia reformer is. I’ve received tons of questions about it, so I thought I’d answer them all here!

Why pilates?

If you didn’t know, I used to be a personal trainer. I taught group classes and just ultimately trained super hard – high intensity, heavy weights, and high endurance. Pilates on the other hand, uses lots of tiny little muscles that you don’t use in typical strength training.

Pilates is also great for the female hormone cycle. It’s actually not super healthy for women to do high intensity workouts every single day. Pilates builds and requires strength, but it doesn’t really require a lot of endurance. It’s the best of both worlds!

What reformer do you have?

I have the Flexia Smart Reformer! This bundle comes with everything you need for a pilates class! They gave me a code – CASS for $500 off! This is a smart reformer. As I’m working out, it gives me immediate feedback onto my tablet. I use it literally every day!

Can you use any tablet?

Yes, you can! I just use my iPad for all my classes. I got a wall mount and put it on the wall in front of my foot bar.

Does the reformer come with a membership?

I use the Flexia Studio membership. It’s only $39 a month. I know getting a full reformer can be pricey – but most pilates studios are $200 or so a month for a membership. This pays itself off in a couple of years!

How are the classes?

The classes are amazing. I learn one to two new moves every class I take! And there are tons of classes to choose from on the Flexia online studio. Since I’m learning these new moves, I’m able to incorporate them into other workouts I do on my reformer when I don’t want to do a full class.

Can you use the reformer for other workouts?

Yes! There are some days I’m not necessarily in the mood to do an entire class – so I’ll use my reformer for strength and resistance exercises on my own. A reformer has a ton of versatility!

Hope this answered your questions about the Flexia Reformer! If you’ve been considering getting one, I highly recommend. Reminder, you can use my code CASS for $500 off your Flexia Reformer.
