I cannot believe I found this Henry Link Wicker set on Facebook Marketplace for just $200!! This is a designer set that typically sells for thousands of dollars…so I really struck gold here! The fabric was pretty torn up and the wicker needed some love so I decided to flip it for the beach cottage!

Here’s the listing from Facebook and some of the areas I’m talking about that need some love.

I honestly completely forgot how absolutely awful it is to remove fabric. I spent 4 hours trying to remove the staples on these cushions before giving up and just straight up ripping the fabric off of the staples. This ended up being much more efficient!

Then I just took apart the entire frame into individual pieces so I could repair and paint the frame later!
Then it was time to put the new fabric on! Look how gorgeous this fabric is! A fun green stripe but a bit more subtle with a natural texture to it.

I will say for this, I had to merge two pieces of fabric together to make it wide enough for my dimensions. But I was able to use all of the old fabric as a template for my new fabric which made it somewhat easy. I laid the old fabric on top of my new fabric and cut it down to size.

I am SO GLAD I sent off the pillows to be done by someone else because this would have been WAY more time consuming if I had to do those too! These cushions were enough 😂
Then finally I got to put fabric back on the sofa! I got my air compressor with my pneumatic stapler hooked up to it and got right to it!

I put like a thousand staples on this thing so godspeed to whoever wants to reupholster this after me.
Here’s my inspiration for this furniture makeover!

I got alllll the pieces of the chairs and sofa prepped and cleaned and ready for paint! I laid them out on my driveway on some drop cloth.

Then, time to spray! I used French Beige from Rustoleum which PERFECTLY suits the fabric.
I can’t WAIT to see this with all the vintage decor we got for the cottage!

Awesome job, Cass!! It looked like a real headache to me…lol !
Thank you so much!!! It definitely was tougher than I expected 😂
