I’m basically done with the basement (crazy) except for the bathroom. For the sake of closure before my next project, I decided to do a little basement bathroom makeover. Here’s my mood board!

“Demo”
There wasn’t any actual demo for this project – just removing some little things to replace them with updated things.
Okay BUT the toilet is broken so we are definitely swapping that out. I knocked that out first today! The first time I ever swapped out a toilet I was so intimidated. I used Youtube to figure it out (my favorite). All I had to do was turn the water off, remove the toilet, remove the old wax ring (this is what seals the toilet to the floor and prevents water from leaking out), press the new wax ring in, bolt it, and boom! New toilet.
It worked!
Lighting
I love a pendant light over a vanity. I’ve loved the one I have in my mood board for a long time but it’s pretty pricey. I found this similar one on Amazon for cheaper!
First, I removed the mirror and then thankfully, I was able to just make a new hole where the old light was and reach through to pull the wiring through. Then, I installed the new light and then just patched up the hole.
Next up, I’m going to town with this vanity! Stay tuned 😊
